Small Groups

"How is it with your soul?"

John Wesley

John Wesley would open up all small group meetings with the question “How is it with your soul?” That’s a far deeper question than, “How are you?” . Nurturing and giving care to the soul is important in a person's daily walk with God.  That's why Wesley believed in preaching and meeting in classes (small groups). When people come together in small fellowships and groups to pray together, study God's Word together, bear one another's burdens, and care for one another, they cannot help but grow in love for one another. This growth then leads them to speak the truth in love and to grow into the likeness of Jesus the Christ. God's redemptive action takes place in people's hearts.
