Small Groups

"How is it with your soul?"

John Wesley

John Wesley would open up all small group meetings with the question “How is it with your soul?” That’s a far deeper question than, “How are you?” . Nurturing and giving care to the soul is important in a person's daily walk with God.  That's why Wesley believed in preaching and meeting in classes (small groups). When people come together in small fellowships and groups to pray together, study God's Word together, bear one another's burdens, and care for one another, they cannot help but grow in love for one another. This growth then leads them to speak the truth in love and to grow into the likeness of Jesus the Christ. God's redemptive action takes place in people's hearts.

Weekly Small Groups

Every Monday we have two Bible Study Groups.
One is meeting at our Church from 2:00 - 3:00 PM.
This Group reads a book together.
The other Group is meeting from 7:30 - 8:30 PM at the Kriegh's house and is talking about the sermon text for each week.

Every Wednesday you can meet for a Bible Study Group  at Kerr's house in Cheney.
This group meets from 7:00 - 8:30 PM and discusses the sermon text fro the upcoming Sunday.

Every Thursday we have a joint Bible Study group together with the Congregational Church in Cheney.
It is lead by the Pastor of the Congregational Church and our Pastor from the UMC.
We meet from 1:15 - 2:15 PM - one month at the Methodist church and the next month at the Congregational Church. Let us know if you want to get a schedule for that.
